Pet Portraits

I absolutely adore creating pet portraits! My favorite part is truly capturing the unique personality of each beloved animal in every piece. I bring these special companions to life using either colored pencil or watercolor, depending on the desired effect and the pet's distinct character. 

Color Pencil

My go-to lately? Prismacolor pencils on black mixed media paper. The depth of color and the unique texture you can get with that combination are truly inspiring. 

Watercolor

One of my favorite things about working with Winsor & Newton watercolors on white cold press paper is the incredible freedom it gives me with backgrounds. The possibilities for depth and mood are endless!
